Bliss is a scholarship built from friendship leading bravely with compassion and generosity. We are strong believers and supporters for youth as they navigate and grow to their fullest potential.
About Us
The seeds of Bliss Scholarship were sown in the unbreakable bond of friendship among the four founders during their time at Pangasinan State University Laboratory High School. As Bryan’s graduation in 2007 approached, Diane, Rhodalyn, and Sharine were confronted with the harsh reality that their beloved friend might be unable to pursue higher education due to their family’s financial constraints. Faced with this heart-wrenching situation, they refused to accept defeat, choosing instead to seize control of their destiny.
They collectively decided to help each other to get through college together. Although there was much fear and uncertainty surrounding this unprecedented decision, the mere possibility that, with their action, Bryan’s college education could come to fruition overpowered that and gave them courage.
With their sights set on college, Diane, Rhodalyn, and Sharine, now in their senior year, began saving and strategizing. Bryan, too, was not deterred, working full-time and putting away money. In 2008, they took the plunge. Bryan, Rhodalyn, and Sharine enrolled in the College of Education at Pangasinan State University, Bayambang Campus. Diane pursued her nursing degree at Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation in San Carlos City.
The initial funds for Bryan’s education were a patchwork of his earnings, Diane’s scholarship money, and a generous cash donation from a close friend.
Bryan’s part-time job, Diane’s scholarship and the prize money from academic contests, the profits from their electronic prepaid load business, and their school supplies sales all contributed to sustaining his financial needs. To minimize expenses, Rhodalyn, Sharine, and Bryan shared books and other school resources. Budgeting, saving, and earning money were not just tasks but high priorities while pursuing academic excellence.
The challenges they faced progressed with the years of their education. There were days when quitting became more appealing than pushing through difficulties. But after all the sacrifices came an achievement they all shared. In 2012, they finally made it. They got through college together with no friend left behind.
The challenges they faced and overcame together became proof and inspiration that they could accomplish anything together. The desire to help more deserving students achieve their goals and have a better future became their dream as they started their careers.
By June 12, 2015, a new dream began with the establishment of Pang Masang Skolar, now known as Bliss Scholarship Foundation Inc. Pangasinan State University was the absolute choice to start and pay it forward. With the support of their former professors in high school and college, they were allowed to hold the first exam and interview at Pangasinan State University, Bayambang Campus.
To this date, Bliss has provided scholarships to over 80 students, many of whom have gone on to achieve great success in their respective fields. Bliss has expanded and collaborated with local and international nonprofits and businesses to assist with community needs. And most importantly, Bliss continues to build a strong support system and community for all of their graduates and current scholars.

“Read To Your Bunny” by Rosemary Wells is the very first book my mom read to me. I may not know what else is in it now, but I do know that the message ends with “…and your bunny will read to you.”
As I proudly talk to my mom about how ecstatic I am with all of our scholar’s accomplishments with taking the lead in our events through volunteer opportunities we opened, she reminded me of that book and how that’s precisely what we’ve been doing for Bliss.
Since we started Bliss Scholarship Foundation, we have led our scholars on the same path of compassion that sparked our cause. However, as our organization continues to grow and way more than we’ve ever expected, we have found ourselves in challenging situations. One of which is the delegation of tasks. This is particularly hard for us founders because we always did everything ourselves, and we’ve fallen into our roles naturally as we navigate our way through the years.
We know that allowing for growth means allowing for change. We knew it was coming, and to test the waters, we slowly allowed opportunities in leadership since 2022. The urgent need for help from receiving 111 applications within four days in 2023 has accelerated this process, leading us to call for help. As we reached out, our students took the initiative to lead the way. Although it was scary for all parties. We spent a lot of time planning and then trusting the process.
And now, here we are, celebrating their spectacular execution. We are very proud of leading our bunnies, and now our bunnies are leading for us.

“Life is so short to dwell on the negativity of the above quote. Through all the unfairness of life, we got the power to overcome it.”
Life in the academe may not be easy as you juggle your academics alongside personal challenges but through education, you will be equipped to turn the world to your side.
Surpassing the considered toughest if not the hardest examination of our professional development, the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers administered by the Professional Regulation Commission & the Professional Regulatory Board of Professional Teachers, you will now have the power in your hands to change your life, the life of your family, and most especially the life of the learners who will be entrusted to you.
Our moral obligation as educators of this land is to holistically develop our learners and make them realize their potential and become a catalyst of change in their own way. That is, I guess, the most fulfilling part of being an educator.
Further, we can be an educator with the learners, and our colleagues, be it in the academe or in the corporate world. Do not contain yourselves in a workplace that will curtail your personal and professional growth and development. Do not be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. Because your happiness and mental health matter.
Bliss Scholarship Foundation will always be here for all of you.

Life often presents us with make-or-break situations on our path to success and fulfillment. Whether it’s in our academic pursuits, professional endeavors, personal relationships, or even our own self-discovery, the question remains: how do we navigate these challenges without losing our spirit?
I was randomly listening to music when a familiar song played. The song reminded me of the quote, “The best view comes after the hardest climb,” which resonates deeply with the essence of life’s journey. For someone who enjoys climbing mountains but fears heights, it is liberating and empowering to take each step forward. Even though there are moments when the path seems daunting and distant, and doubt creeps in, you choose to keep going because what awaits us at the summit is worth every step of the climb.
However, You’ll then realize that when you get to the summit, it really doesn’t matter. So, why do we even bother going up there? Why do we choose to leave the comfort of our homes and go up the mountains? It’s the climb—the sense of adventure and seeing the tapestry of life. No matter what we achieve, life’s twist and turns along the way is what teaches us to celebrate small victories and lessons learned.
As we reflect where we started, the breathtaking summit view reminds us how we persevered and unleashed the limitless potential within us. Looking back on how we started Bliss Scholarship Foundation, I must say that we’ve come a long way from dreaming of helping individuals to reach their full potential, to where we are now. For us, founders, who had individual mountains we’ve conquered, one thing is for sure: the summit for Bliss is where we are going.
Let this be a reminder to everyone that the path we choose to the summit, the magnificent promise of the view we could ever imagine, forges our character, but let yourself discover the depths of your inner strength and never give up.
