Volunteer Now!

Volunteer opportunities are now open!

Bliss is supporting our local partners to help with their causes. For every project that you will be volunteering in, there will be corresponding hours that will be credited. Once you complete 100 volunteer hours, you will receive a certificate of volunteer work that details the projects and hours you have contributed to. Bliss is also open to writing a recommendation letter for school or employment upon request.

Here are the open volunteer opportunities

Online Encoding

Upon meeting Santa Barabara Public Library Librarian, Ms. Arunah Siobal Calaunan, on May 24, 2022, we learned that the master list of books they have in the library is written on this log book. The master list is called “Accession Logbook.” This logbook is primarily used to record information about library books as they are received. And in it, we can also find out how many books collection the library has.

Volunteering to help encode the Accession Logbook will help the librarians with accessing this record with ease.

In-person Outreach

In partnership with Streets To School Ilocos Chapter, we will be supporting their event in July. They will be visiting an island barangay in Binmaley, Pangasinan called Barangay Balogo Pandel.

STS will be facilitating the event. Kids ages 6-12 years old will be gathered for storytelling, games, snacks and school supplies distribution. Bliss and other willing volunteers will report to STS leaders and will be assigned roles on the day of the event.

Bliss volunteers will be given a free jeep ride to and from the event in Binmaley. Snacks will be provided. We ask that, if at all possible, you take as much photos as you can throughout the day of the event to help with the documentation of the event.
